Macaron The Saint Tropez TreatI was a little late to the macaron trend. I first saw them in the Sophia Coppola film, “Marie Antoniette”. I was obsessed with the aesthetic of that film, which included the shots of the pastel colored treat so I was instantly interested on getting my hands on one. Unfortunately, they weren’t very popular in the town I grew up in, so my first time having a macaron was a month ago. I didn’t know what to expect: they looked like they would be crunchy all the way through but they were chewy in the middle and the filling was the right consistency. I am hooked. It is looking to become an expense habit to have macarons at least once a week. Luckily, there are several recipes online, including this basic one.
